Smiler is pretty new, and had the operator not ignore the safety systems itnwouldnt have happened, it was nothing to do with the ride it was an operator being a dick.

This was an accident I imagine from the kids strawberry floating about.

Yeah, the Smiler thing was operator error which should absolutely not have been allowed to happen. It's insane that there was even a system in place that let the operator override a failsafe

And why they didn't wait for the empty "let's make sure the ride is working now" car to come back is just beyond me Just a total cock up by all parties.

Been watching Eurovision semi finals on BBC4. Portugual's act is both eccentric and very French. 2 of the songs wouldn't sound out of place in a James Bond intro.

Presenters are 3 blokes. Right treble of tossers.

Some beautiful women though (Greece). Get excited.

I never watch anything bar the main event, I want the glory of the gooseberry fool songs to unfold there and then.

I had been planning to meet my friend and watch Eurovision together with him on Saturday but my uncle who I haven't seen in years is coming over so I won't be able to.

How the strawberry float did Belgium and Portugal go through? Their songs were awful!

I really liked the song with the smoking piano. Disappointed that didn't get through. Neither did Iceland.

Needless to say Saturday will now require a lot more beer.

Well, this is going to be a turn up for the morning.

I was out Friday and didn't get home till 6am. strawberry floating expensive night mind. Took me three pubs to get smashed. ragin.

I got drunk off a single can of cider earlier, strawberry float I'm weak. Caught myself telling weeds to strawberry float off in the garden. My 9 pints of Guinness days are well and truly over.

To be fair I do that anyway.
