I think it was the Stranger Mysteries channel I seen it on, during one of their videos. Might be worth checking out that, as there's some interesting videos on there if you like the format and can stick the narrator.

Then I just looked it up through general web searching. Seems like it is a commonly held belief :lol:

Got a few cat lovers here - poo and all - but I've got a cat that invades my garden, it wants to be in my house by meowing at the patio door and then gooseberry fools in my garden in protest. My friend used to use water as a way of deterrent but I prefer something more...humane? And water pistols can be expensive. Thoughts?

We have motion sensor noise deterrents as the local cats were using our gravel driveway as a litterbox. They work a treat.

Occasionally the settings seem to drift off though and it'll become human audible, which is annoying. Probably also more expensive than water pistols (but hey it was the landlady who bought them)

Water's humane, cat'll be fine.

I don't know how powerful paintball guns are but I think that might injure or possibly kill a cat.

A water pistol should suffice, a wet pussy is better than a dead one after all.

That same lens is about £250 on Amazon, so my 'too good to be true' alarm is ringing. It doesn't appear to say it's a used example (I want new)... can anyone spot a catch?

Edit: N/M, found a thead on hotukdeals that seems to suggest it's a bit dodgy at the very least.
