I know this is tongue in cheek, but like, even if you strawberry float this one up you'll meet more 3D women eventually. Try not to stress out about it.

Karl is right, this is setting you on a dangerous path to 3D women, just look at me. I'm now married! 3D women are a slippery slope.

Email her and ask her if she wants to spend a few hours with you waiting for a train.

I've honestly never heard of the term slope being used as an insult before the whole Top Gear thing. Damn racist Brits. :x

I hate to say it, but Comic Relief this year has been epically awful.

It's always awful. I don't think the quality of the entertainment should be given a pass just because it's for charity.

I'm all for raising money for charity but Comic Relief is pure unadulterated gooseberry fool.

Do we actually know if the money even goes fully to charity, like I swear there was some controversy in the past.

It's sat on; so it's floated on the stock market, reserved in the bank...

I don't like bad mouthing charity events, and I did buy a red nose, branded food etc, but the show last night was honestly the worst ever. Legit, terrible. Everything was wrong with it. There was no laughs for what seemed like hours, the sound and audio was all over the place, the audience didn't care or talked amongst themselves (which at one point led to Lenny Henry telling them to shut up in what seemed like actual anger), the sketches died a death (Vic and Bob was probably the worst part), they promised Peter Kay and then didn't deliver (buy tickets to watch Car Share 2 at the Vue!), promised Alan Partridge and had him just do a voice-over for archive You've Been Framed type stuff, had Richard Osman chair The World Cup of Biscuits in a recurring filler segment that wasn't remotely funny, Micky Flanagan and some other tosser annoyed guests in the Pizza Express next to the O2 and then bemoaned the lack of money they raised (£300)...and on and on it went.

The one solitary thing in the whole night was the return of Love Actually. There was no other value anywhere.

Is it time to cancel Comic Relief until such a time as people can be bothered with making it good again?

I think the problem is we're now a country that can do panel shows, and presenters that can be funny (Ant n Dec) but when it comes to actual comedians or decent sitcoms, there is nobody. Mrs Brown's Boys, Citizen Khan and the genteel replacement for Last of the Summer Wine, Still Open All Hours, is now the standard of comedy in the U.K. And it was there for all to see last night. How can you have Comic Relief when we have strawberry float all comedians.

We used to deride America for their canned unrelatable gooseberry fool, but we can't even match Modern Family or South Park. There are more laughs in 1 episode of Hawaii Five O than there was last night.

We're still dining out on The Office and Fawlty Towers.

Comic Relief by its very nature has to be bland. The first half of it is there to entertain kids, the second half is there to make sure as many adults as possible watch.

It cannot therefore ever be anything other than a bland show as going too edgy will lose the grandmas and going to soft will lose the young adults. They aim to go down the middle and are very successful at getting millions to watch and donate, but it'll never be held up as a showcase of amazing comedy.

The timid opening half actually went out the window this year. They had innuendo bingo, Vic Reeves flashed a penis shaped dildo at Susanna Reid, flipped her off and various other people said "gooseberry fool". After the news they went with Graham Norton's chat show Live with a really long sofa...it didn't work.

Just remembered there was also a dire skit with Jeremy Kyle and David Walliams. Unfortunately nobody got a punch in the face.

Thought it was poor that Wogan was a no show this year, surely he could have rattled a bucket of change in the audience for 10 mins if nothing else.

He'll be at Children in Need as usual at the end of the year.
