Anyone else watching Louis Theroux in Milwaukee? It's strawberry floating nuts over there. People just driving around firing off gunshots for no reason. Utter bobbins.

Do you think it's worth re-naming this thread to "The Chat Room Thread - Vol.5" for the benefit of GAFugees that won't know what TCRT means?

It's Die Hard until we run out of Die Hard. Then the trend will die hard.

I watched it. Nothing I hadn't seen before really, possibly even from Louis' previous documentaries, but still interesting nonetheless. You couldn’t pay me to live in some parts of the US, and the healthcare and gun laws would put me off on the whole anyway. Shocking how little regard some people have for other people and life in general.

I love visiting the US, but I 100% agree with you, I wouldn’t want to live there. Most are lovely people and yet they have such shocking opinions on poverty, healthcare and guns. :dread:

I feel exactly the same. It's the whole 'as long as I got mine' attitude and their total paranoia around guns. The second there's a mention of gun reform they get on their high horses about their rights being stripped away.

My wife wants to move to Canada at some point (which I'm open to) but I'd need to do a fuckload of research before I committed to it.

I could move to Canada I reckon. It's not perfect, and there are some things that would take getting used to, but if I had to move anywhere, that's probably where I'd go.

My cousins (who I haven't seen in years...there's a theme running here, have you noticed) live in Canada and love it. But then they are rich and successful, which no doubt has a bearing on your experience of a place no matter where you live.

Cold though.

I wouldn’t mind a coupe of years doing some lucrative private work there.

Maybe New York or Boston.

It’s on my to do list in the next could of years to visit.

I hopefully have a business trip to Atlanta lined up for the start of December assuming it doesn’t fall through, looking forward to it. Never been to America before, dreading immigration somewhat though - particularly as my passport is almost 10 years old, about to expire in January and the photo looks almost nothing like me anymore.

Did they ever implement that rule where they can check all your electronic equipment before allowing you entry to the country? Not that it would bother me, like :shifty:

Atlanta airport is strawberry floating massive. The departure gate is basically a mile long giant corridor.

Just impulsively dropped £250 on a new soundbar even though I don't really need a new one, having said that however my current one has started making a buzzing noise so I suppose that's a good enough excuse.

Pretty sure they could always do this. That being said it's never happened to me, but if it can happen to this guy I guess it could happen to anyone...
