Why do loads of posts say showquotes now?

It's not a major drop, but it's a very noticeable drop.

People having quotes in their sigs breaks the new nested quotes thing.

I've read this sentence a few times and even though it appears to make sense I can't make heads or tails of it. It's been a long day.

Tis a new feature, and that feature has a bug or two.

The new thing is that quote chains over 2 quotes get condensed to show only the last 2 in that case a "show quoted" buttons shows and if you hit it the rest of the chain shows.

The bug use cases are that it shows when it shouldn't when there are more than 3 quotes in a post when they aren't nested like moggys comments thread, also the sig block is included so any quotes in there count towards the 3 minimum for triggering the button.

I have a possible for this sig block being counted but not for the multple single quotes case as yet

As for insults - was condescending prick just 'bants' then.

Yo want a discussion that's fine but it's hard to do when you dont actually read or follow what I've said. That's why I called you infuriating. Because you are.

I didn't accidentally or wilfully misrepresent you. We were talking about sci-fi movies, then trilogies were mentioned and I spoke about sci-fi trilogies. It might not be exactly what you and Tomous were talking about, but you were not misrepresented there, read what I said again.

My "condescending prick" comment was clearly a response to your insult.

I don't want a discussion, in a chat about sci-fi movies you have somehow become insulted and aggressive over conversation turning from sci-fi movies, to trilogies and then onto a more defined comment on sci-fi trilogies.

It's quite bizarre how you've turned this into an argument and utterly pointless to continue with it. I really can't be arsed to carry on with this any further.

It's quite bizarre how I'm the one who's turned it into an argument. I think aggressive is a tad strong but hey - since we're agreeing to disagree it's fine.

It's not very well written. Basically huge load of pettiness on all sides that's better off ignored.

This is serious business though. If they pull out of this pointless argument now then it will ruin the thread.

It's now pissing down with rain, wind is picking up big time, thunder and lightning in the background, and they've opened a hanging umbrella and moved the BBQ under it. And as I type this, the BBQ has gone out and is probably proceeding to fill up with water.

MILLENNIALS, EVERYBODY.
