I usually have a lot of leave left over come christmas time as Im not really a big holiday person. That means every year I do some crazy gooseberry fool. In the past Ive actually worked 2-3 day weeks for 2 months just to spend them.

Because I do on call as well I get some lieu days which add up. Basically this time round I am going out for drinks tonight with some people, off Friday, next week Im doing online training at home and then because of the fortunate way the holidays and bank holiday fall I wont be back in the building until the 8th of Jan or so. Also Im selling 5 days that Im not using and that means I get paid an extra chunk every month next year which I have decided to reinvest into a nice mountain bike.

In short, Im free!
