I've got a neurology appointment at the end of the month. I'm quite concerned, because I'm looking for work and have interviews lined up and really don't want to told I need treatment because that means sick time. It's paid where I am at the moment, but id rather not accept a new job and instantly go off for a month after I've just started or worse, not get sick pay while I'm there. I have no idea how long these things take and I'm sure that if I do need an op it'll not be organised in time to know and decide my course of action.

Distal tendon repair or replacement with an achilles tendon.

:dread:

I've had problems with my achilles for a few years now going back to having a fracture in the ankle and a high grade tear of the tendon. I hope yours goes well and you make a full recovery I'm still struggling with it. :x

Cheers Buff, I'm trying to find the time to go to physiotherapy, I find it helps but you really need to do the prescribed exercises at home as well or else you'll never make a recovery.

Just to clarify-there's nothing wrong with my Achilles (thankfully). If the distal tendon in my arm is too damaged - they'll graft a donor Achilles onto my bicep and attach it to my radius. Hope yours works out ok, Rightey.

Went into Sainsbury's this morning and they've scrapped I'd say at least 30% of their major beer and cider brands and replaced them with craft and smaller companies. Stella Artois Cidre and even Brew Dog were absent.

Felt more like Marks and Spencer's now.

Did you try checking in the cleaning products section? It wouldn't be a surprise if that tramp juice was put near the Harpic and Domestos.

If they'd have taken it from your hamstring then you'd struggle to tell your arse from your elbow.

Got some strong-ass painkillers for injured shoulder ligaments from a couple of weeks ago and have struggled to stay conscious all day. It's kinda gooseberry fool. :fp:

Nearly got pickpocketed today in Mexico City.

Absolute sneaky strawberry floaters working as a team on a crowded subway platform where as people go to get on a busy train a few of them push to front and block the doorway while their accomplishes at the back push people forward creating a scrum where people can't move. Those at the back then they dip into people's pockets.

Fortunately I instinctively put my hands on my pockets as it happened and felt my wallet moving out, so grabbed it and engaged in pocket tug of war until the scrum stopped and they moved away.

Happened really quickly because their plan is clearly to stay on the platform as people won't realise their stuff is gone until the train has pulled away and then there's nothing they can do.

Lucky escape as had decent amount of money and all my cards in there.

I'll take them off you I'd you don't like them m8.

What are they? I got a bunch of tramadol in Brussels when I tore my shoulder muscles.

Glad to hear your stuff's alright Tomous, heard of similar things happening in Barcelona when I was living there but thankfully never experienced pickpockets personally.

Yeah, Barcelona and Madrid both notorious for it-i actually had an incident walking home at night by myself in Madrid once too. This guy came up to me and said "You like football?" and started running round me pretending to play football. I was quite drunk and had no clue what he was doing then he suddenly ran off and I realised he'd taken my phone. I ran after him and he was sitting on a moped trying to get my phone to work (the battery had died). I walked up to him and said "you took my phone" and he said "no I didn't" then we both looked down at it and so I just snatched it back, shouted "this is ma phone!" and walked off. Fortunately he was quite a small guy and just strawberry floated off after that. I seem to have a knack for narrowly avoiding pickpocketers :slol:
