To a certain extent; celebrities and the BBC need to be wise to the fact it's the show, concept & programme, not the presenter or the host that necessarily matters.

Jonathan Ross, Susanna Reid, Adrian Chiles, Christine Bleakley...all names that left (irrespective of reason, though basically money for everyone bar Ross) and not only were they easily replaced, but the shows in question didn't suffer and their careers have slumped on a new station.

There are of course exceptions (Top Gear is still a work-in-progress trying to replace Clarkson and co.)

It's pretty damning to see such a gender and race gap for BBC presenters, although I would love to see the same figures from the likes of Sky and The Daily Mail who are, of course, outraged at such double standards in the BBC.

I'm sure they must be paying their staff equally.

Guys, Vanessa Feltz is paid more than Peter Capaldi.

(I know she probably does more programmes, but it just seems SO WRONG.)

Nolan is an odd case.
My exposure to his work is limited to what gets pushed into my social media feeds but I'd love to know how much of his wage is based on his ability to not lose the rag and just start beating the head of whatever gobshites he has to interview. I've heard a few clips of the discussions regarding the 12th of July and bonfires and the amount of absolute headcases he seems to have to deal with is astronomical.

"So, Arlene Foster has been quoted as saying that the only good taig is a dead taig and that every March she dreams of renting out a John Deere combine and trying to purify Northern Ireland by running over as many people celebrating St. Patrick's Day as she possibly can. Surely she has to resign?"

"But Stephen, the IRA"

"This morning Michelle O'Neill held a press conference to say that the Queen was a mouldy old German gee bag and that she'll shoot Prince Williams big baldy head if she ever gets the chance. Surely she has to resign?"

"But Stephen, the DUP".

Chris Evans Top Gear maybe.

The last series of Top Gear was the best it has been in years. And was much better than the Grand Tour.

That guy from Casualty being on nearly £400k  :fp:

I see the Guardian's obsession with race and gender has them frothing at the mouth about this. There were at least half a dozen articles on the 'gender imbalance' on their front page earlier. :dread: Of course they're not comparing like-for-like jobs, but given their form on completely misinterpreting and twisting figures on other kinds of 'pay gaps', that's no surprise.

Chris Evans, Jeremy Vine, Claudia Winkelman, Alan Shearer, Matt Baker, Alex Jones...strawberry floating hell - all terrible, and all on ludicrous amounts of money. :fp:

Chris Evans appears to have morphed into John Virgo.
