Left my lightning > 3.5mm cable in my girlfriends car this morning so I had to use the apple provided lightning headphones for the first time. Really, really surprised by them.

Sound is a little high frequency biased and they are a bit too big for my ears (to be expected from mass produced items) but by and large the sound is shockingly good considering they were free. Not a lot of leakage either. After the steaming shitheap that was yesterday, today has started out uncomfortably positive.

I like my good audio equipment, which is why I have never considered using the bundled apple shite. Thats why Im surprised at the relative quality offered by them, I remember when I would rather have had the sound of needles being pushed into my eardrums than the sound of apple headphones.

Im not flat out insane like our boy Dennyo, though. It seems like hes locked into the Sennheiser ecosystem and blind (rather, deaf) to higher quality items for lower prices from other companies. Stuck on the treadmill of 'higher prices = better item', classic whale behavior. As long as it makes him happy I guess.
