I am legitimately very tempted to convert my washing machine into a chain drive for the sake of science.

The main issue I can forsee is the chain tension increasing and decreasing as the drum rotates off centre. I think it'll have to be resolved with a moving tensioner but not sure where Id fix that yet.

The second issue I forsee is my girlfriend not understanding why we cant do washing and why the machine is taken apart.

Direct drive is a better end solution.

Holy strawberry float I've forgotten how bad the weather is over here (Manchester). Wanted to get some presents but 30 minutes later I'm soaked through, holding the two presents I managed to get that are also soaked through after the paper bag that was holding them evaporated and I can't feel my face.

Ha, my brother was in Manchester today for an interview. I'm going to text him to laugh at him despite the fact that Glasgow is like an ice rink and the dog nearly slid us both into a frozen canal on our walk this afternoon.
