"Dank GRcade memes."

"I hear they melt sea breams."

I'll keep it in the reserve section for now, thanks Errkal ;).

Lewis, have you got any more? :shifty:

So.... the arguing has kicked off at my neighbours. The guy settled into his aggressive shouting routine and she was yelling back at him. That triggered his round of mimicking where he puts on a high-pitched voice to copy her shouts. He just yelled "I only care about our son... I don't care about your mum". They have their young kids there whilst all this is going on.

It is frustrating as he was drunk and loud until around 1:15 this morning, too.

Well... you can't really, Errkal. It's not an emergency and no-one is in danger; it's just annoying. I tend to just keep a note of the times of the disturbances so that when I do complain I have some kind of evidence to back up my argument. Luckily the argument seems to have blown over albeit doors are now being banged.

The police have a non emergency number for exactly this kind of thing,

101

If nothing else it adds to your evidence that they're logging complaints from you and hopefully other neighbours

That's a good point, Laga - I had totally forgotten about the 101 service. If there is abusive shouting at night I guess I should try putting a call in. I think this must have been what one of my other neighbours did a few weeks back when the oafs were raging whilst I was out.

Yeah even if it is just shouting there is a kid there so someone is being harmed by this.

It should reported to 101 if for not for yours or the parents safety but that kid they shouldn't be in that environment especially as this is a massively massively regular thing.

It needs to go to 101 who will hopefully involve social services.

Didn't you mention once that you think they're on drugs?

Put an anonymous call in that you think they are dealers and get the police to kick the doors in. Hopefully then they'll find something.

It probably won't solve the noise problem but will make you feel like you've got some revenge, will gooseberry fool them up a bit and might even land them in the gooseberry fool if they do have anything dodgy in their flat.

yeah I agree call 101, say you hear a lot of shouting and that it might be domestic abuse, the guy will get lifted.

This post is exempt from the No Context Thread.

I remember it being heavily advertised a few years ago when it first launched. It's basically a nationwide number but will connect you to your own local police force, it's a replacement for having to look up whatever the number of your local force is.

Jawa definitely give it a call the next time they kick off, the 101 number is for reporting things of this nature where it's not necessarily an emergency that requires an immediate response but is something that the police should be aware of.

I decided to watch 15 minutes of Len Goodman's Partners in Rhyme this afternoon.

I swear that 5-6:30pm slot on a Saturday is death, where the very worst game/quizshows go to reside under the guise of family entertainment.

They're going to scrape the front of my cornea off, spray it with chemicals and shine high intensity UV lights and then make it artificially harden so it preserves it's shape and halt the degeneration.

Sounds like quite an adventure, Hexx! I had an operation on my eye when I was a kid... it's worth doing these things for the longer term, dude :toot: .
