The only opiate painkiller I've ever had was about 4 shots of Morphine when I dislocated my kneecap and it did nothing for me.

I did throw up once my kneecap was back in place, but that might have been the sight, sound and feeling of my kneecap being sharply rotated 90 degrees around the knee rather than the morphine.

Has anyone tried Ben and Jerry's Empowermint ice cream? I had it today and I think it's the best one they've ever done, it's delicious. Had to stop myself from eating half the tub in one go.

My wife got some, I didnt get a look in, she polished off the whole tub before I got near it. She said it was nice.

In the context of this thread it sounds like you're advocating Ben and Jerry's as a viable alternative to opiate painkillers.

Is it an upper or a downer?

I took some 30/500 co-codamols at work for my headache the other day. Tried to write notes and couldn't string a strawberry floating sentence together. This is why I tend to just tolerate my pain.

They're a nightmare for concentration. In my more druggy days I sometimes used to pop those for a shift at morrisons when I was hideously hungover, made the shift fly by :slol:

Anyone else watching Panorama about the tower fire?

A national scandal and a shameful stain on the government - they should all be made to resign.

Just heard the American lad who was imprisoned for trying to nick a propaganda poster in North Korea has died. They sent him home because he'd been in a coma for a year.

Bit premature for a meaningful documentary, no? Surely it's literally still smouldering, they can't have done a proper investigation yet.

It wasn't a deep investigative piece, more stories from the survivors and reflecting on some of those who'd died. It also highlighted the massive lack of officials on site (other than the firefighters) that should have been there to coordinate relief efforts, which was instead left to volunteers to manage.

They did grill some of the council people but stopped just short of pointing the finger.

I feel like I've not even slept today. It's awful. I'm struggling to even concentrate on anything. :/

Currently watching a wood pigeon trying to eat the cherries on my tree and failing miserably because he's too fat and the branches can't take his weight. I'm sure all he wants right now is just one solitary cherry. I feel sorry for him...

The "best" bit about this is Trump congratulating himself for getting the lifeless body of this poor sod back to America before he died.

Yay progress.

Someone has put a music channel on the TV at work and it's playing the music video for C'est La Vie by B*Witched

God I remember when this was new and everywhere.
I also remember it being stuck in my head, mainly because it now is again.
