Sounds like you're grinding your teeth in your sleep. You can get a thing from the dentist to stop you doing it. I can't remember what it's called.

I would imagine overuse of any muscles could lead to spasm? But you're better off asking an actual doctor than anyone here.

I don't even want to know.

I've had a similar, although far less severe issue the past few weeks: jaw aches in the morning getting worse throughout the day to the point where I can't chew, headaches, all that. Girlfriend told me she saw me grinding away like a madman in bed. Went to the doctor and the dentist and they both told me it was stress related. I've been on anti-inflammatories for 3 weeks now which cures the pain, but I missed a few pills yesterday and it all came rushing back. Which is concerning.

HUM.

Get the dentist to make you a customer biteplate, costs about £90 private. I used to have severe jaw pain from grinding my teeth, and the biteplate really helped.

Don't give a gooseberry fool about the BBC salaries generally, but this is shocking.

You'd think Winkleman could afford a proper haircut earning money like that.

The real shocking thing is that someone saw fit to pay Stephen Nolan so strawberry floating much.

Why is it shocking? He's the biggest name the BBC has, his shows (of which he is usually the only presenter) pull in huge numbers and he's been around for a long time so is a very recognisable and (normally) bankable star.

Winkleman co-hosts Strictly, that's all she does with the BBC isn't it? Strictly has 6 regulars (2 hosts and the 4 judges) so obviously the wages will be lower. She earns more than everyone else on Strictly, including the male judges.

edit: that's aimed at Taf. I don't know who Stephen Nolan is.

I wonder how this list would have looked this time last year.

I couldn’t give a gooseberry fool what BBC presenters are paid. It does amuse me though that the same people that are outraged at the level of MPs pay are also outraged that people working for the BBC earn more than the Prime Minister. :slol:

Aside from Chris Evans' pay being utterly ridiculous, and the argument that sports presenters like Gary Lineker are paid too much (he could be fired tomorrow and replaced with Mark Chapman or a cardboard cut-out and it would make absolutely no difference; though you want good ones, people don't tune in to sport for the presenters - see also Thierry Henry at Sky Sports) it's that there's a massive pay discrepancy between male and female presenters/news despite doing roughly the same amount of work.

Chris Evans vs. Claudia Winkleman is the wrong comparison to be making, because there is no comparison to be made. The pay gap between for example Sue Barker and Gary Lineker isn't a fair comparison either, because Gary works far more. You need to put, say, Huw Edwards against Fiona Bruce; Matt Baker (One Show, Countryfile, TV specials) against Alex Jones (One Show, Shop Well For Less, TV specials). And that's where a pay gay of around £50,000 exists, if not more.

Yeah

Freemarket basically. BBC have to pay to retain these people.

I do a bit, if and when I watch the F1 I will pay for a Now TV Pass over watching it free on 4 because I like the presenter team.

Northern Irish radio and TV guy. He's pretty well known over here. Here's him talking to a lad with tourette's.

He's a bit shite.
