Much more boring than that.

I've had a bid accepted to buy a local farm. I've no real interest in starting farming myself but it land doesn't come on the market very often in the area and most sites that are sold are very limited in terms of space and planning permission.

-The farm itself is around fifty acres and was owned by a pension age farmer and is a bit run down in all honesty.
-Until about ten years ago it was two separate farms which was split between the farmer and his brother
-Because they farmed separately there are two farmhouses and yards included as part of the farm. I'll call them site A and site B from now on
-Site A is where the person I'm buying the farm from lived
-Site B is where his brother lived until ten years ago
-Site A is connected to the grid but isn't in a great location, really shaded and the direct neighbour would be a banana split
-Site B isn't connected to the grid but is a much nicer site in terms of light. Direct neighbour wouldn't be a banana split.
-I've been given a rough estimate that connecting site B to the grid would cost at least €15,000 and the line would run through the farm, probably reducing it's resale and rental value. Total cost would probably be over €20,000. That makes a turbine and battery setup worth investigating.

That covers most of it.

Sounds exciting mate. Hope it works out for you.

If Stardew Valley has taught me anything you'll be millionaire at the end of Summer 3.

Physio has emailed me some additional exercises to strengthen my wrist, forearm and upper arm. So I’m all set to return to a busy ward from next week.

Is this code for "My Physio has emailed me some top notch grot and I'm going to be wanking like a demon"?

If so OM? :shifty:

Don't be crude.

But sadly, no.

My local Cineworld are opening a 4DX screen in May by the looks of things, so think I'm going to hold off seeing Infinity War for a week or two and see it through that.

Cineworld's blurb says:

Providing a revolutionary cinematic experience which stimulates all five senses, the 4DX includes high-tech motion seats and special effects including wind, fog, lightning, bubbles, water, rain and scents, in both 2D and 3D formats. These effects work in perfect synchronicity with the action on screen

So it's 3d but with moving seats, spraying water and smells.

I've got an Unlimited Card so will probably just have to pay an upgrade fee, no idea how much it is though.

I have a 4dx thing near me but have never tried it. Mostly because when I go to the cinema I want to watch a movie, not take part in a theme park ride.

Sounds like an absolutely pointless gimmick.

Went to an Odeon near my gf the other day where the seating was all recliner seats. Was really nice and comfortable, just a shame Ready Player One wasn't that great.

Just done a Denny and got myself a phat tax refund. Doesn't quite make up for the fact that I've been unemployed for the past year, but still :shifty: It's nice to have some money go *in* to the account.

Yeah we've had a 4DX screen for ages but it's got to be such a waste of money. Cinema for idiots

Hopefully the seats move enough that people spill drinks and food all over themselves.

Can't think of anything worse in the cinema with water being sprayed in your face while the seats move around.

The cinema is already has enough with having to be around other people, let alone having those other people grunting yelping as they get thrown around

It's 2020 and Ad7 is dragged to a showing of the hit new comedy, World's Chewiest Office-Eaters, in a "4D" cinema. He shakes with impotent rage as the cinema assaults him with the sights, sounds, and smells of crunching crisps. Dat crispfeel as he's blasted in the face by the crisp cannon. The rest of the packed theatre is entirely comprised of teenaged American tourists, who start yelling and cheering and clapping so loudly that he can't even hear the scene's punchline.

And worst of all, World's Chewiest Office-Eaters is just a port of the original Wii U version anyway
