"I had to go to Burger King", said like it's literally a last resort.

I get it is annoying if the place you want to eat at doesn’t have any food, but is it really that big a deal? It’s not like we have a shortage of fried chicken shops in this country.

Imagine not being able to get that sweet KFC and instead having to step into the working class gutter and buy a questionable "chicken" burger from Chicken Cottage like a dirty povvo grotbag :dread:

We have Lick'n Chick'n around here. I've not been there for years, but it kicked the gooseberry fool out of KFC. :datass:

Miss Millies is ok, but I have never lived very close to any of the branches.

I am not going to Kingswood for chicken. :dread:

Ken's Fried Chicken used to be the place to go where I lived, with its suspiciously KFC-like logo and branding. :slol: Never went there myself, looked unhygienic as strawberry float, and it was unreasonably cheap. Dread to think what people were eating. :dread:

Ah.
Used to be top of the....forgotten name, hill road, up to the Downs from Uni/Town.

Good place to stop on way back to halls.

Whiteladies Road or Blackboy Hill?

One of the racist sounding names I expect.

Edit:

And what were you doing up the Downs young man? Tut tut tut.

You went up Whiteladies to get to the Downs to wank off men in the bushes, before stopping for chicken on your way back down Blackboy?

I used to walk back up Whiteladies (from The Triangle mostly) and then over the Downs to my Uni Hall.

Sometimes the top of Whiteladies was the perfect "pit stop" for some Miss Millies source chicken.

I used to work with a bloke that lived near the Downs. He said sometimes at night you could hear men screaming.

I also used to work with a black lady who was highly offended when the firm booked the Christmas party at a place on Whiteladies Road. “I am not going to Whiteladies!” she said absolutely outraged by the very idea. It didn’t calm things down much when somebody said “could be worse, the party could be on Blackboy Hill!”.

Ah, uni days in Bristol :)
Once after a heavy night drinking at the Coronation Tap, I got separated from my mates and fell down a ditch on the edge of the Downs. I then passed out for a few hours and woke up to a full on police search for me (it was like a week after that young woman was murdered nearby).
Fun times.

You'll be one of the men heard screaming then.

I miss Bristol.
Still one of my favourite cities.
Small chance work might move me back there which would be groovy.

Thankfully I was too drunk to remember :toot:
