strawberry float! Fingers crossed, odds are it will be nothing. I can't even begin to imagine how this must feel.

I'm sure she'll be fine. I went through something similar a few years ago. Went through loads of tests over a 4 month period, kept telling me they were looking for either blood cancer or TB. strawberry floating terrifying at the time, but I got better and that was the end of that. Bodies are weird, she'll be ok.

Blimey, Preezy, I can't imagine what a shock that must have been. With the blood tests thankfully appearing normal, I hope that the other tests quickly confirm this and that you can breathe easier again. All the best, dude.

You absolutely did the right thing getting it checked out Preezy. Hope everything comes back OK for your daughter.

It's always worth having them looked at, but most little lumps are nothing serious, so fingers crossed that's the case here. Sounds like things are looking good from the blood tests.

All the best mate.

Had the same last year too, doctor told me to cancel my trip to Croatia which I thankfully ignored. Turned out my body sorted whatever it was out while I was away.

Good to get it checked though, be thankful we've got the NHS.

Yeah when you consider she had a GP appointment at 10.30 and was then in hospital at 2.30 getting blood tests it's pretty great that I only had to pay for the car park. NHS

If the hospital is anything like my local health services you can expect a follow up in a month or two when they can harrass you and threaten to take you to court for parking legally.

Need 2 New tyres for my car but everywhere I call about getting the same ones says that they're on back order from the manufacturer and no idea when they'll be coming in.
The only place that seems to have any is Kwik Fit :dread:

I found a lump on my daughter's thigh on Friday when we were getting her dressed, took her to the GP who looked gooseberry fool scared (which I'm now fuming about, strawberry floating pillock), said it could be sarcoma (type of cancer) and gave us an emergency referral to the local hospital's Child Assessment Unit, which mercifully was the same day.

2 sets of blood tests later (one Friday, then again on Saturday because the first sample clotted and couldn't be tested) and we get a call this morning to book her in for the follow up consultation on Wednesday. Apparently the blood tests came back normal (although the platelets sample clotted so couldn't be tested) but procedure is to still have a follow up where they'll go over the results and do a proper examination. Even so, we're all shitting ourselves as you might imagine.

:(

fake edit: worst Quick, to GRcade! post I've ever done

It sounds like it will be fine, but you can’t help being terrified with something like that. It’s good you found it and that your mind can be put to rest when you have the follow up.

Went for a dental check-up today. Dentist started talking about having my wisdom teeth removed; I've known about this for years as my wisdoms are pretty freaky; they're not visible but they've all grown at a ninety degree into my existing back teeth raher than up through the gum.

She said something like "yeah, we'd have to remove a bit of jaw bone to get to them and take them out; we'll have to take a closer look".

Strawberry floating hell. I might have to put off my next visit forever :dread: .

 . What makes it worse is that I have a bit of a phobia about stuff like dentists and hospitals. I know that no-one particularly likes it, but I do get really nervous and stressed out :dread: :fp: .

Got three dates with three different women lined up for this week now. Totally isn't just to fill the void in my soul.

One of them looks hot in photos but describes herself as 'curvy'.... :dread:
