That's a strange way of spelling Las Malvinas.

For your property? Or business?

Getting two potential house sites assessed to see if either are suitable for a wind turbine and battery setup instead of being wired into the grid. Won't be starting any sort of building work until next spring but I just want to get some info on this before getting into properly designing the house.

Sounds like someone is getting off grid before the gooseberry fool hits the fan and society crumbles.

Much more boring than that.

I've had a bid accepted to buy a local farm. I've no real interest in starting farming myself but it land doesn't come on the market very often in the area and most sites that are sold are very limited in terms of space and planning permission.

-The farm itself is around fifty acres and was owned by a pension age farmer and is a bit run down in all honesty.
-Until about ten years ago it was two separate farms which was split between the farmer and his brother
-Because they farmed separately there are two farmhouses and yards included as part of the farm. I'll call them site A and site B from now on
-Site A is where the person I'm buying the farm from lived
-Site B is where his brother lived until ten years ago
-Site A is connected to the grid but isn't in a great location, really shaded and the direct neighbour would be a banana split
-Site B isn't connected to the grid but is a much nicer site in terms of light. Direct neighbour wouldn't be a banana split.
-I've been given a rough estimate that connecting site B to the grid would cost at least €15,000 and the line would run through the farm, probably reducing it's resale and rental value. Total cost would probably be over €20,000. That makes a turbine and battery setup worth investigating.

That covers most of it.

Passed my restraint test with flying colours.
Physio has emailed me some additional exercises to strengthen my wrist, forearm and upper arm. So I’m all set to return to a busy ward from next week.

If so OM? :shifty:

Sounds exciting mate. Hope it works out for you.

If Stardew Valley has taught me anything you'll be millionaire at the end of Summer 3.
