You may not know this SD but it's traditional to do this on the way, usually about 1/2 way through the journey. Just pop up the front, open up the cockpit door (no need to knock) and say thanks. Pilot's really appreciate it. And don't let those flight attendants tell you otherwise.

Also, the traditional way to greet a pilot in flight is to say, "allahu akbar" (which is aviation speak for "great flying pilot"). You might need to shout it too as the engine noise can be quite loud.

And they don't really get time to eat so take them along some lunch wrapped in a box.

Remember to gaffer tape a digital timer on to the box so they know what time to eat the lunch.

My 92 year old nan Has skin cancer, and I only know because I phoned her the night before she was due to go in and have something removed from her forehead (which was yesterday) otherwise she was going to keep it from me.

strawberry float sake, that's a 100% strike rate for cancer on mum's side of the family now (my nan is the only one left). Rip in piece me later in life :simper:

I used to take them for migraines. I’d still be in some pain, I just didn’t give a gooseberry fool about it.

Tramadol is the real king, take some of that and your wisdom teeth will be but a distant memory. As will your wisdom in general!

I’ve never had it, but my wife said it was amazing.

I had morphine once, that was an experience.

Tramadol was amazing, but it's one of those that different people can experience in very different ways. When my wife had it (which incidentally I think was for something to do with her wisdom teeth) she was properly hallucinating and spouting all kinds of nonsense:

"If I die you need to go on with your life!" - yeah okay no probs, but you do know you've only had your teeth out right?

I had 4 shots of morphine in quick succession when I dislocated my knee cap and it did strawberry float all.

That's because you are a raging smackhead.

I was 12 when I had it. I have no idea how big the dose was, but I was hallucinating all sorts of weird things, from a crocodile under the bed opposite to my friends older brother dressed up as a (female) nurse.

Ontop of the Morphine I had two full canisters of anesthetic gas and a full bottle of liquid paracetamol on an IV drip, and I was still fully coherent and in pain :x

Turns out that I have a very high threshold for painkillers. Unfortunately it's combined with a particularly low pain threshold  :fp:

Morphine and tramadol completely knock me out when I've had to have them before, gave me some very trippy dreams!

I’ve had tramadol before and it too was wonderful.

Also had an injection of something when I was really sick, first I got angry and tried to fight with the staff and shouted a lot, then got really tearful before sleeping it off big time. Still don’t know what it was. But I’d probably hit it again.
