Sadly it has a few issues. Part of the frame is cracked...



and the middle peddal doesn't work. Still I got it for free so I can't really complain. The old lady who gave it away told me it's been in her family for 70 years, no idea if they bought it new or got it from somewhere else.

It's pretty fun to play around on it. I have no idea how to play properly though but my wife played for something like 12 years and she's the one who bugged me to get it.

Middle pedal is far from the end of the world, and that crack isn't particularly noticeable, so I'd call that a good deal!

Older pianos like that can be interesting as a lot of them are from small local makers who don't exist any more. You should try looking it up, there should be a name somewhere.

A good deal would be being paid to take it to the tip.

It'll need tuning for a start.

Meh, I'm happy with it. I'm sure it could use a tune up, although it sounds fairly good as it is, but I will look to find a piano tuner in my area. I'll also ask them about fixing the broken pedal, with any luck it won't be a very tough thing to fix.

I did have a look around to see if there was a brand name on the thing, but all I could find was a serial number on the inside. Mind you it's against the wall now and I'm too lazy to move it just to search for a badge.

Scuff it up, paint it eggshell blue, put some bunting on and it'll look shabby fabby chic hun x

I was scanning the BBC News website and one of the front page stories has the headline "Dog poo in lake causing ear infections". "Poo"... used by the BBC... on the front of their news page . Is this... normal, now?
