Anyway surely the optician makes the money from the eye test etc. and not really from the sale of the frames etc? You still need to go to them to get your eyes tested in the first place!

Having a bit of an issue with PayPal and refunding a payment. Dude paid me for tickets through Twickets earlier that I can no longer give him - I issued a full refund into his account via another PayPal transfer because his email address was noted on the first transaction, but he’s claiming he never received it. I had to send it in a separate transaction because the refund button wasn’t working.

It’s gone through as completed so it’s in the account, but the bloke is asking me to try and pull it back to my account and send it to a GMail address that isn’t on the first transfer at all. Obviously after an hour and a half on the phone to PayPal I’m no further forward and don’t really know what to do.

Got a letter from my doctor which I hoped would be an appointment notification for the ultrasound I was told I was going to have, only to find a letter with a phone number and a few pass phrases. When did MI5 take over the NHS?

Sounds like a scam. He's got his money, that's all you're obliged to do.

Nah its beyond annoyance and has become general chat.

The Cadbury Secret Santa ad is supposed to be charming, but it comes across more like random people are being possessed by the spirit of a serial killer and leaving poisoned chocolate for unsuspecting victims.

Been up to see my mum in Morecambe. Travelling back to the Republic of Mancunia now.
She’s divorcing her 4th husband.

For my 30th I got some Lidl Stöllen from my Mom. She said that if I wanted something else to tell her.

Instead of waiting she rang me up and told me she got me something great. Something that will last a lifetime and is something everyone needs. It arrived earlier today.

It's a fan.

Apparently it was great in her house during the summer.

My mum offered to buy me a new bed until I told her how much I’d blown at comicon.

She is no longer willing to do so.
