Seriously though, the only way you can possibly remove the discs is to maybe snap off the "push here" clips, as the security strip runs from one side to the other right under the disc.

That is some serious security tag!

It's a bit difficult to wedge the disc up high enough and take a photo of the strip underneath at the same time thankyouverymuch.

I've got the security strips out of DVDs with a knife before, if that helps. Have a look online and see if any of the videos on youtube look like your security thing. Sounds similar, at least.

It enters the case here:

There's then some sort of magnetic strip, then it goes under the "push here" tabs that stop them from being pushed in, and comes out the other side, where there's another white strip. The Fort Knox of tags. Only thing missing is some exploding dye.

Yeah, that's a lot like the one I had. Now you've at least got the case open you can hopefully try and force it out from inside. It's a struggle. Would love to know how the actual machines work, but I bet it's a closely guarded secret.

He's got an old case, unfortunately. On 4K cases they've gone one better and I can't even pop the disc out.

I've also tried the magnet trick but I haven't got anything powerful enough. Looking closer under the disc there may even be a thin black wire going around it.

Just hit it with a big hammer.
