It’s terrifying but at least everyone is ok.
My 2 year old was in a car crash a few weeks ago. My brother-in-law was driving and somebody crashed into the side of his car. And hit the rear passenger door where my son was.
He was completely unhurt (he didn’t even wake up
) but it scared the hell out of my wife who was there. I was at work luckily, I’d have lost my mind if I had been there!
It shows how well designed cars are nowadays, the car is basically a write off, the door is absolutely strawberry floated, but nobody was even slightly hurt.

Oh, man, I get that feeling. Those first few moments when you're not quite sure how everyone is are just horrible. I'm glad your family were okay, dude.
Gotta say that the ambulance and police teams were brilliant yesterday. They were on the spot quickly and did their jobs so well. It's wonderful that we have people who perform work like that.

Yeah, for all our moaning about the police and emergency services, they do a wonderful job on the whole.

For some reason Penny Arcade popped up on my twitter feed today (retweeted by someone). Like everyone else on the planet I assumed they'd been sucked into a vortex come 2014 but apparently they're still making comics.
Like the below, posted last week, which is probably one of the most desperately sad things I've seen in my life.

possibly miss that this was was my point? It's a horrible, horribly unfunny comic where they desperately attempt to excuse the fact that they're no longer popular enough to be at SDCC by trying to claim they always hated SDCC and that they're ever so glad they don't have to go anymore.
It's utterly cringeworthy and, as I literally wrote, desperately sad.
