Decided to have a quick look on Instagram this morning to see how some Americans spend their 4th of July. The first results...

To be honest, I was kinda hoping for SOME ASS. :|

I don't know why you'd put sparklers near such a young child, makes no sense to me.

This is why they need to stop funding health care for the poor! If the poor just worked harder they could afford health care and then everyone else could afford guns! strawberry floating spongers!

So I've nipped round my mums and she's currently having a new bathroom fitted.
I just overheard one of the workmen say "Hey Adam, I've got Ice Cream on my balls"

There are so many possible Laga’s mum jokes there, that it just seem pointless making any.

The workman has "Ice" & "Cream" tattooed on each of his balls.

This post is exempt from the No Context Thread.

So in what possible way could you say that without innuendo?

Pretty sure we just had a very minor earthquake in my work office. We've got these long desk rows that you can't move at all and they all wobbled for about 5 seconds. That was really weird. We're 4 floors up. Send help :dread:

fast edit: building manager has confirmed it was, the buildings around us all shook too.

I hope this doesn't impact the Gatwick meet :(

I went to the 4th of July fireworks here in town last night, and it's absolutely normal to these people to put sparklers in the unprotected hands of every small child around them. Zero concern for their safety.

Look up Json Pierre Paul to see how stupid Americans really are when it comes to fireworks.

There's a lot of videos on Instagram of people setting off fireworks and bangers in parking bays and down residential streets as well, like it's completely normal. Filming on your mobile while driving is another one, along with pitbulls off leads. It's like 'so which public order offence do you want the ASBO for'.

We should celebrate the 4th of July as well, always nice to remember that we're no longer responsible for those trouble-making colonists :toot:

Personally I find American's celebrating the theft of British territory to be racist.

I think I saw around 60 countries have declared independence from us at some point.

So on average, someone is celebrating their independence from us once a week....

We had one earlier this year, I think the shakes were felt from Swansea to Bristol.

It was a weird feeling, obviously not very strong but unsettling. I wouldn’t fancy being anywhere near a strong earthquake. :dread:

Yeah I recall one earlier this year, it felt like I was stood next to a washing machine on a very aggressive spin cycle!

I just saw something on my phone about 3 Poachers getting eaten by Lions after entering a nature reserve in South Africa.
