Came home to a letter that the electricity in my road will be turned off for 7 hours tomorrow for improvement works. 7 strawberry floating hours :fp:

Going to have to take all the fresh meat in my fridge to my mum's to keep it from going off :x
Freezer should be ok for that long though at least so long as i don't open it.

Most annoying part is that I'm off work, but no electricity means no games :x :x

Get your mum to buy you a switch and charge it up before hand.

I've had Finn's Ghostbuster pack listed for two hours, starting bid is £40 and already had this Thundercunt get in touch:

What do these people expect?

Yeah, we’re selling some of Anungs nerd stuff. We’ve posted an 18inch figure for £110 with similar stuff listed and selling at like prices. Just been offered £50 and we’ve to pay postage despite the fact that we’ve turned offers off. I wasn’t so polite in my reply.

How much fresh meat you got? Haven't they given you 7 days notice?

I've been away from home so only saw the notice today. After buying fresh steak, chicken breasts, cheese, butter and 8 pints of milk.

Had an 18 month deal for the original bundle for £9 per month. They put it up to something like £24 because my 18 month deal came to an end, saying that the original bundle has been made obsolete and the next best they can do is the entertainment package at £15 per month.

The extra channels they tried to market to me (Eurosport, music, documentary) are of no interest to us and we would have liked to keep the deal we had but they're obviously saying no can do.

Hmm, I work in the IT side of technology rather than the sale stuff sadly.
I've had a look at the current friends and family offer but it's far from the best it's ever been, Entertainment, Kids, HD, Box Sets and films for £40/month.

Did you speak to just customer services? Or the actual cancellations department that they put you through to? The first people you speak to usually aren't cancellations, normally they put you through to cancellations who have access to better deals.

My mum just finished 2 and a half years of the all channels (except sports and movies) plus Box Sets for literally free (she got a 12 month free for friends and family and then randomly got an email saying it was being extended for 18 months), then they tried to put her up to £39.50/month. The initial customer services took a whopping £1/month off, then cancellations got it down to £23/month.

If you have bt broadband, give bt TV a look. It's freeview via an Ariel and then a bunch of streamed stuff added on like comedy Central, good food etc. And a heap of kids stuff and sports.

I'm well impressed with it.

I noticed yesterday on the MySky app that Sky had automatically kept my discounted price. It was due to expire next month but it’s now saying £9.10 instead of £22. I dumped my Sky+ box a few months ago though and simply use SkyGo on the PS4, which on the whole is excellent. Picture quality is better than NowTV, and I also keep the all important Sky Sports Mix.

Thanks, I'll speak to cancellations tomorrow then.
