I'll change the thread name in a bit, I know people freak out when the word is mentioned.

My father's side of the family all lives in Washington. He's one of four children. My uncle died in a car accident while I was young, and one of my Aunts died of cancer in late June.

The Aunt who died bought her parent's home for them. When she died, my other Aunt took legal control of the house.

My grandfather is a terrible old bastard who was an abusive alcoholic for his whole adult life. My dad hasn't had a real relationship with him since he left for the army (Vietnam) when he was 16. The living Aunt hates him more than my dad does though, and when she got control of the house, she kicked her parents out of it.

Or tried to.

While my grandmother was out the house, my living Aunt and a real estate agent came by the house, and my grandfather has started shooting at them with a shotgun :slol: :slol:

His bail is set at $250,000. My dad's bought my 90 year old grandmother a trailer to live in. My grandfather's trial is later this month.

strawberry floating hell Clarky. Know whereabouts in Washington they live so I can avoid that area when I'm in DC next month? :shifty:

He probably means the state on the other side of the country.

EDIT: I just read Clarky's post in full

I know Clarkman was in Washington DC about eighteen months/two years ago, and it's a notoriously rough city in places so I would not be at all surprised if it were in fact the capital.

In completely different news:

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, in a private message to me on Reddit, wrote:I don't buy that gun to your head crap. If someone had a gun to your head they're not asking that question. Never gonna happen. Mash.

So Anthrax legend Scott Ian has joined the dastardly team mash. Disappointing.

Oh, I didn't know that. When I hear Washington I think state and when I hear D.C., I think The West Wing.

Hi guys.

To be consistent with the rest of our rules, this thread does not need to be remade until it hits 250 pages.

Enjoy! And Cora, feel free to remove "September" from the thread title if you so wish.

I'll leave it up there - September's the best month (even though I'm technically still in August) as my birthday occurs during it.

The way TCRT has been heading, this thread will probably last about a year. :dread:

I remember when TCRT had at least ten pages per day. A 300 page thread every month. :(

And o/ for a September birth

\o

We'll have to make sure that doesn't happen by spamming our fingers off. We can do this. I believe.

Had a Harvester earlier. It wasn't a great way to spend a tenner to be honest. Should've gone to the Frankie and Benny's next door.

I fancied a burger, but they didn't have a great selection. Ended up getting a cheeseburger and getting some jalapenos in there as an extra. It was alright, just a bit bland.

In my defence it was only 7pm here when I made the thread. Got to go by UK time and that.

Just got some french toast from a random delicatessen round the corner and I swear I think I just had several heart attacks. Incredible, incredible scenes. And the size of their slices of chocolate cake, strawberry float me.

The unlimited bread rolls in the salad bar are the best thing about Harvesters.

The NATO summit is here this week :dread:

The place it's being held is right by where I work and all routes are on lockdown while it's on meaning Gridlock and potentially sitting in 4 hours of traffic for my 20 minute commute. Hopefully going to be able to work from home while it's on because it's going to be ridiculous.
