You could keep some of the jars in your parking space, solve both problems

I've learned to just not say anything now. It's really not worth the aggro

Crazy how inconsiderate people can be, but part of it's a management problem.

The bigwigs at my office have decided that we all need to be in every Tuesday as a hard rule. To quote the service manager, "If you're well enough to work from home, you're well enough to come into the office".

I had a cold a few weeks back, and I decided I was too ill to work from the office with a clear conscience, so I just called in sick since by their own logic I was too sick to work from home, even though I would've been perfectly capable. strawberry float 'em, they made their bed.

I've just realised I think you need your name changed back

I was just gonna let it ride, it hasn't been spelled right since last year's name change anyway

Been dealing with the cough from hell these last three weeks.

About a month ago i went down suddenly with a high temp and fluey type symptoms for around a week, then this cough developed and it's horrendous.

Went to the surgery yesterday and someone there had a listen to my chest and he said it was all clear (thankfully, he also gave me the once over generally and seemed happy enough with my stats), which means it's an upper respiritory thing.

Trouble is, i can't seem to shift it, and i've been generally feeling under the weather this whole time, my temp seems to be all over the place (paracetamol keeps it down to normal levels thankfully), i'm not sleeping great, i'm tired and run down, and i've also gone off of my food a bit.

I do wonder whether or not it's been yet another bout of covid.

I had a very similar sounding illness. High temperature/flu like symptoms and a cough that lasted for weeks. It's gone now though, so you will get better.

Cheers.

Got a bit of a runny nose now too, which seems odd when you consider i'm 4 weeks in to this crap. :(

Mind you, that should mean my system is actually working to try and get rid of it.

We went to the supermarket earlier and I noticed a car in the car park that was covered in pro-life stickers. Including ones saying they offer free pro-life talks in schools. :dread:

When we were in our way home, that car happened to be in front of us. He refused to obey the 20mph speed limit and was doing at least 30mph, before getting right up behind the car in front of him.

I guess being pro-life doesn't include an aversion to running kids over.

As American pro lifers have proven it doesn't matter once the child is born, they just have to get out of the womb first. That's life, they had it and after that it's fair game.

Pro-lifers seem to be almost exclusively scummy people using it as an excuse to attack other people.

Back at work today after a week off. Dodging the office for a couple more weeks at least, while I remain at risk of being picked up as an extra in a zombie film :dread:.

My advice to everyone is to never get shingles. If you do, maybe just cry a little bit, get a load of double-strength codeine, and strap in for a thoroughly unpleasant experience.

Busy couple of days. Seen a lot of kids in A&E. Always the same after a break. School is a big stressor. Love the new job (although its nearly 18 months now). Hard and a lot of responsibility but there's a tangible sense of helping people that feels really great.

The directors, who are now both earning about £80,000 each working as business consultants...

...

Sentencing the pair, Justice Leeming said "lives had been ruined by what happened at Flip Out".

He said the men had a "cavalier approach to health and safety" with some of the injured "left with years of pain and suffering and genuine concerns about their futures".

...

Shuttleworth was ordered to pay a fine of £6,500 and court costs of £50,000 while Melling was fined £6,300 and pay costs of £10,000 after both admitted being an employer or self-employed person who failed to discharge a general health and safety duty to a person other than an employee.

The pair were also handed a 12-month community order involving 250 hours of unpaid community service.

It's just insulting. They can ruin people's lives, including kids, and they ultimately just get slapped with relatively minor fines and a bit of community service. Judge should have broken their spines.

Here's hoping the personal injury claims ruin the both of them.
