1999 was so disappointing, we didn't get a full total eclipse in Bristol and there was strawberry float all to see thanks to all the clouds. :cry:

I remember that, for the eclipse back in 1999, we left the office for half-hour and went and stood on London Bridge. I think it did go darker and cooler for a few minutes... I can't recall too much about the experience bar that!

In fact I've been suddenly noticing a lot of imported gooseberry fool in the supermarkets recently. What's with all this Hershey's American chocolate - it actually smells of sick (no, it genuinely does). :fp:

Some guy in a nearby flat was shouting for around two-and-a-half hours this morning. It was loud enough that it could be heard right across the site. It wasn't in English and I have no idea what he was saying - it sounded like a chant, repeating words over-and-over. At times he sounded angry; it was all pretty odd.

Thankfully he seems to have stopped now.

Edit: Maybe this was to do with Eid? I've not heard it before though, and it did appear to be strangely loud and angry.
