I agree, but late milkers will not be convinced.

I think we should go to war with these heathens.

How can you all drink it with so much sugar in? :x

You only need a tiny bit of milk, and no sugar at all. You can't taste the tea otherwise!

I'm shocked and appalled by this heresy.

Our tastebuds are evolved enough to handle more than one taste at a time.

I'm so fussy, I have about an 1/8 of a spoonfull of sugar. Just enough to add a small amount of sweetness without overpowering the tea.

I tend to go for one and a half sugars. Anything more and you may as well be drinking a cup of sugar water.

JK wrote:JK's Guide To Making The Perfect Cuppa:

1) Find a mug and chuck a teabag in it. Mug does not necessarily have to be clean, but give it a quick rinse or a wipe if it isn't.
2) Boil the kettle. Wait.
3) Fill up the mug with just-boiled water. Wait a bit (up to a minute).
4) Get a teaspoon and smush the teabag around inside the mug. Fish it out and chuck it in the bin (extra points for long-distance flings).
5) Add a generous helping of semi-skimmed, so that the total volume of liquid is just touching the lip of the mug.
6) Sugar is for children. Real men drink it unsweetened.
7) Carry the mug up some stairs, spilling a fair amount of it on the carpet on the way.
8) Drink as quickly as possible. The only thing stopping you from finishing the mug is that it would burn the inside of your mouth if you did.
9) Wait about half an hour and then repeat the process.

I am also quite fond of peppermint tea, but only on special occasions.

Sort of, this.

I'll have milk and two sugars thanks.

I don't drink it very often, just when I really need some sugar, like that alien in MIB.

I drink it all day, every day. Very strong with 3 sugars if it's just normal tea. No milk 3 sugars if it's earl grey.

Also love green tea, get through a lot of that too.

I like going to Cup in the Northern Quarter in Manc and drinking Mr Scruff's tea and nibbling tasty cakes. Nothing more satisfying than sitting in the corner with a newspaper and a huge teapot.

A trivial debate, as it is self-evident that it is better to remove milk from the equation entirely. We amilkers look upon your fued with scorn.

Youse guys don't know anything about Tea!

I love tea. It's awesome. I have a Tea Thermometer, and a special sand-powered Tea Timer. I have tonnes of tins, and a magnificent pot from Whittard's that has a removable strainer. When I make a pot, I check the temperature and time it to get the perfect tea.

My love of tea began when I moved to Shawlands in Glasgow, home of the amazing Tchai Ovna (Well, the now closed South Side branch anyway). This was 4 years ago, and before that, tea was not my bag. My flatmate and me went in and order some crazily titles pots, and proceeded to grin from ear to ear for the rest of the night with a strange sense of wellbeing, and that's when I knew Tea was for me.

Since then, i've tried a lot of teas, and enjoyed the vast majority. And i'm really, really glad I did. Since that fateful night, i've sampled some fine tea in fine tea shops in Budapest and Dublin.

My favourite teas include Darjeeling, Silvertip Oolong, Indian Chai, Mate (technically, not tea), 'Little Buddha', Yellow Annun, Earl Grey and Chun Mee. Drinking tea with my mates down the tea shop, over an epic game of cards or a massive discussion is one of my absolute favourite things in life. Drinking a well-made pot of tea at night after my dinner, or suckling some delicious Mate from a Gourd through a metal straw, is a fine past time.

Christ, all I want is something hot and caffeine-rich to get me through work.
