I like tea and coffee but don't like the bitterness. Have to put a lot of sugar in. I do like some Chinese green tea my flatmate had though, without sugar.

Milk and honey for me. And sometimes a good loose green tea, nothing added of course.

Full fat milk makes a far better cuppa than skimmed/semi skimmed.

I'll have milk and two sugars thanks.

I knew someone at school who had 5 sugars! I used to have 2, then I dropped to one and now I have none; I've trained myself to have no sugars as it's good for your health and your teeth.

Yorkshire Gold for me. Yum.

My old housemate used to have 5 teaspoons of sugar in a shot of espresso. Nutter.

I loves me tea. I'm on some Typhoo at the moment as it was going mega-cheap a while back. It isn't so bad actually, but I'm pretty fed up now after about 800 cups of the stuff. I'll probably go for some Yorkshire or Twinings next time.

Apparently you're meant to have skimmed milk with tea and full cream milk with coffee..

Do yous put the bag in the cup or use a teapot?
because it tastes better if you boil it for a while in the pot.

Tea before milk, or milk before tea?

Personally its milk first, don't want to stain my cups.

JK's Guide To Making The Perfect Cuppa:

1) Find a mug and chuck a teabag in it. Mug does not necessarily have to be clean, but give it a quick rinse or a wipe if it isn't.
2) Boil the kettle. Wait.
3) Fill up the mug with just-boiled water. Wait a bit (up to a minute).
4) Get a teaspoon and smush the teabag around inside the mug. Fish it out and chuck it in the bin (extra points for long-distance flings).
5) Add a generous helping of semi-skimmed, so that the total volume of liquid is just touching the lip of the mug.
6) Sugar is for children. Real men drink it unsweetened.
7) Carry the mug up some stairs, spilling a fair amount of it on the carpet on the way.
8) Drink as quickly as possible. The only thing stopping you from finishing the mug is that it would burn the inside of your mouth if you did.
9) Wait about half an hour and then repeat the process.

I am also quite fond of peppermint tea, but only on special occasions.

Surely that stops the tea from brewing properly as the milk lowers the temperature.

Does anyone have any tea drinking rituals?

I've been drinking PG Tips of late and have to make sure the bag is completely unfolded into a pyramid before putting in my cup. I have to pour the water from at least 5"/6" above the rim of the cup so the water splashes directly through the bag. I also have to fold up the tea bag as best I can against the side of my mug so I squish out as much of the liquid as possible. With regular disc shaped bags I have to align the seam vertically before it being squished. I then add the milk, give it a stir and then I do two 'tinks' on the cup rim with the spoon. My biscuits need to be broken in half, as best I can manage, before dunking, too.

I strawberry floating love tea.

I love tea :D The best standard (bagged) tea has to be Yorkshire Tea Gold. It's a perfect cuppa :D I've got some Twinnings Afternoon loose tea that I have in my special filtering pot.

Other than that I'm quite partial too:
Jasmin Tea
Indian Chai
Earl Grey
Green Tea

Tea always tastes the best out of a china or porcelain cup too. I'm not going to start the milk in first or second argument here, it never get's resolved

Douglas Adams scientifically proved that the milk has to go in first.

I agree, but late milkers will not be convinced.
