Remember the PS1 days when they had almost total exclusivity from Namco, Konami, Square etc...

Tekken was in its prime on the ps1, after that it totally lost it anyway, same as ridge racer.

WRONG!! Tekken 5 was actually the best in the series and Ridge Racer 7 is bloody amazing.

Tekken 6 just doesn't look different enough to be called a sequel.

I guess thats your opinion, but the original ridge racers and type 4 owned the later games. Tekken 3 was also the best Tekken, from my memory anyway. I also remember the joys of Tekken 2. I just think with technology almost reaching its peak fighting games just cannot improve enough. I also think after Virtua Fighter 3, things went in a sideways direction for that series as well.

I do not think so, I loved the side-step and ring outs and the fact that when it came out I was genuinely impressed by the graphics. It went backwards after, the new characters were awful and the ring out was replaced in favour of enclosed arenas, which I hated!

What consolegaming is saying is that the franchises have become stale.

I remember first playing Tekken 2, it was fresh, EVERYONE had that game back then.

Well there goes another 'core' PlayStation franchise. Tekken played a huge part in the success of the PSone (The release of Tekken 3 in 1998 was an event. Rightly so...the game was strawberry floating superb). Tekken Tag made the PS2 launch worth something, but once Tekken 4 rolled around - the first in the series which wasn't very good - the big draw the games once had was starting to fade. Tekken 5 came & went with very little fan-fare altogether.

Tekken isn't important to the PS3 like it was to PS1, but it's another loss of identity for me.

Apart from LBP, the PS3 has NO identity whatsoever!

Some of these people desperately need a life. I just can't even begin to comprehend how you can get so emotionally worked up about these things.

It's not out yet, and besides Killzone 1 was gooseberry fool so why would 2 be any good. Wait for the reviews on this one.

but nobody really gave a crap about tekken 5 though Suzz, I remember Tekken being hugely popular back on the PS1 . Its popularity has plummeted in the last few versions.

YOU KNWO WHAT I HOEP THE strawberry floating VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY FALLS ON ITS ASS FOR THIS KIND OF PRACTICE.

and goes flat broke, and it will strawberry floating happen 1 company having everything is a MONOPOLY AND SOON ENOUGH AND I strawberry floating KNEW THIS YEARS AGO THAT strawberry floating COMPANY MICROSOFT IS GONA MONOPOLIZE EVERTYING THEY WILL OWN YOUR strawberry floating SOULS NEXT, FIRST COMPUTERS THEN THAT WAS THEIR TURF.

THEN EVERYONE SAID THEY JUST WANT A PIECE OF VIDEO GAMES, THATS NOT MICROSOFT I strawberry floating KNOW MICROSOFT THESE MONYE HUNGRY BASTARDS WONT STOP AND NINTENDO IS NEXT WATCH.

BUT I COULD CARELESS ABOUT NINTENDO, ITS THESE strawberry floating KIDS NOW ADAYS THAT HAVE NO SNESE OF LOYALTY, THE POINT OF COMPETITION IS THAT BOTH ENDS HAVE ENOUGH ECLUSIVES TO KEEP FIGHTING EACH OTHER AND BETTERING THIER PRODUCTS, NWO THAT strawberry floating SONY DOESNT HAVE gooseberry fool.

WHAT ARE WE TO DO ???? ONLY MS IS GONNA BE LEFT. AND THEN THEY CAN DO WHAT EVER THE strawberry float THEY WANT AND YOUR GONNA HAVE TO FOLLOW.

THIS IS THE WORST strawberry floating NEWS I HAVE HEARD CONCERNING VIDEO GAMES. I USE TO THINK THE JAPANESE WERE LOYAL BUT I GUESS THEY ARE MONEY GRUBBING WHORES AS WELL. WITH NO SENSE OF JUSTICE AND LOYALTY.

TEKKEN HAD ITS START ON THE strawberry floating PS BRAND, SONY IS WHAT MADE IT FAMOUSE, ONLY KOJIMA REALISES THAT…..FOR NOW ANYWAY.

BUT I GUESS NAMCO AND SQUARE ENIX DONT GIVE A gooseberry fool ABOUT WHO HELPED THEM OUT WHEN THEY WERE DOWN. strawberry float THEM. IM DONE, IM NOT BUYING TEKKEN. AND WHEN THEY FALL HARD ON THIER ASS.
CAUSE MS TELLES THEM THERES ONE WAY TO DO THING AND THATS OUR WAY THEN THEN THEY WILL UNDERSTAND HOW AMERICANS DO THINGS.

xbox is nothing but a worthless theif who doesnt know the meaning of shame…. dead or live was originally from ps3 they stole it and now is xbox 360 exclusive, dont get me wrong i could care less about stupid dead or live, but considering this point that how repulsive and vicious xbox is i can tell you in the long run they will plan to do same thing with tekken because they now many people buy ps3 for tekken they are doing the same thing with final fantasy….. and people who are die hard tekken fans have to buy xbox and then have to pay monthly for xbox this strawberry floating xbox trying to do everything to put sony out of business and all started because that basterd bill gate felt like he needed more money so he enetred the gaming business and screwed us all

Obviously seriously deluded but also has a strange grasp of facts a Dead Or Alive was originally a Sega Saturn game first on console and the second was a Dreamcast game.

I love how Playstation franchise go multi platform, this means MS are monoplyising everything :fp: best thing of all, a lot of people who where praising the games release are now going on record stating how the series hasn't been any good si ce the PS1 fdays, I wonder how their tune would be now if it was stilla PS franchise, sheesh and we thought consolegaming was bad

Seriosuly, it's retards like that who'll kill the video game industry for being stuck up their own asses other such trivial things.
