Really? Another Tekken.

If they want to make another 1-1 fighting game they should really have a new idea and make a new game, this one has been done to death.

They really need to innovate, I still can't get over why fighting games dropped multi-tiered stages, they brought so many more tactical aspects to these games...

Really, apart from walls and being able to go through the ground (pointless gimmick that didn't add anything) I don't recall seeing them, I'm talking about slopes and steps adding height advantages/disadvantages.

When have proper fighting games EVER had that?

It would ruin the game and make half of both characters moves useless while on a slope.

Also, They make a difference in Tekken because when you transition to a new area of a stage not only is it a different size, some areas don't have walls. Or have walls on 3 sides but a transition on one side etc.

I think fighting games tend to shy away from uneven ground because it makes the game harder to balance, it's just easier to have all stages take place on flat ground because then wins are entirely down to player skill and not stage advantage.

I like Tekken 6 (but the story mode is awful) so if Tekken 7 is like that but with better story mode I'll probably pick it up.

First trailer:

Tekken 7 wasn’t supposed to be announced today. Harada said this trailer was cobbled together quickly in his hotel room after Tekken 7 was leaked.

I really don't care about story modes in fighting games, it's a poor excuse to not develop the actual game. Give me some new mechanics, animation and physics systems, anything to make it feel less like Tekken 3 with shiny graphics.

And I do, if they want me to spend more than £20 on it. If it's simply beat-em-up game without a story or challenge mode aka Soul Calibur ( ) I'll wait till it hits £20 then buy it to be honest.

Most of the reason why I like Tekken is the ridiculous story, I love it. The actual fighting mechanics always come second for me in Tekken.

Loved 6, but as mentioned above, the story mode was very half arsed which was a shame.
