Tekken 8

Mile Tyson is headling the Tekken 8 panel at SDCC..... Not happy about that. Admittedly one of the greatest boxers of all time but also a convicted rapist.

Hope they don't end up putting him in the game as a playable character (stranger things have happened)

Just had a quick go on the unfortunately titled CNT demo.

I stupidly selected the new controls, thinking they would be like SF6 or even Tekken 7. A few taps of one button as King and I was juggling into air grabs into drops. Didn't feel like I was in control though so next time I'll try to normal controls.

You can press L1 in game to turn them off. I also had the same issue, was wondering why Lili wouldnt cartwheel as I was telling her too!

So far, it's definitely Tekken CNT for me - cnt matchmake a game.

Spent 30 minutes in practice mode waiting to connect to a match....

No matches.

I managed to get some matches shortly after I moaned about it.

The game seems very refined. Graphics are lush, gameplay is smooth and the new mechanics seem to work well. It's very much next gen Tekken!

Azucena is a completely new character, I believe?

Rumours are that this will release on January 26th 2024. As Xbox posted it on their store and then removed it. Probably ahead of the games com trailer expected this evening.

I have just received a notification from Playstation offering a pre order of the game with this very release date!

I'm gutted that Eddie hasn't made the cut!

The beta trials showed a decent game, but it was obvious that people were playing the ranking system. Everyone I played in the second beta was a tank.

Demo out tomorrow for PS5, includes story mode starting section.
