PostTelltale's DC's Fables | The Wolf Among Us

Telltale has revealed that its game based on DC comics series Fables will be titled The Wolf Among Us. Set to arrive on Xbox 360, PC, Mac and PlayStation 3 this summer, The Wolf Among Us takes place prior to the comics and lets players take on the role of Bigby Wolf (The Big Bad Wolf), who has been exiled to New York City. The game follows Wolf as he tries to keep fairy tale characters including Mr. Toad and the Three Little Pigs undetected in our world.

“Developing The Wolf Among Us based on the Fables universe has allowed our studio to build upon all of the hallmarks of what makes our episodic series so engaging for players,” said Telltale CEO Dan Connors. “Through an evolution of our approach to choice and consequence, we can further explore the complexity of each and every iconic character in a universe rich with untold history from the darkest sides of the storybooks.”

Today’s announcement confirms a tease from Telltale last week that hinted at Bigby Wolf’s appearance. Telltale originally announced Fables back in 2011, but Connors confirmed to IGN last month that the game would be released under a different name.

Don't know anything of the comics but like the imagery.

Fables is strawberry floating fantastic but I can't really see it working as a videogame, although given that it's telltale it'll barely be one anyway.

Read the feature in Game Informer and I just can't get enthused by the Fables concept at all, sorry. Also, I dislike that the game will be a prequel rather than standalone tales set within the world, such as Telltale's approach with TWD. Video game prequels, whether they're DLC before a new title or books/graphic novels, are always inconsequential.

Looks good. I'll probably get it when it's cheaper considering I just bought Pokemon for £30.

Really wish Telltale would let you preload stuff on Steam.

I'll pick them all up for cheap when the whole season is out. Is this going to be an episode per month?

Also, if so, does that mean the second season of The Walking Dead won't be released this year?

It'll hopefully only be a 900mb kind of download Maf. Surprised this is getting so little attention after Walking Dead and the reviews episode 1 has gotten.

It's a prequel to the comics by the way so they will be enriched instead of spoiled if you want to continue the story afterwards.

Eurogamer review is up too...

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013- ... ith-review

7/10

Worth noting for people with a 360 the first episode is £3.39 and the 2-5 season pass is £9.99, making it quite a bit cheaper than on PC or PS3 (where it isn't available in Europe yet anyway).

Just been reading that review. This game has come completely out of the blue for me and it's a nice little surprise. Going to purchase the first episode on the 360 this weekend when I'm finished with Beyond.

This. Though I haven't finished Episode 1 yet but from what I've played it's off to a better start than Walking Dead (Which is one of my favourite games this gen)

How does this compare to The Walking Dead? I watch Gametrailer's review and they didn't seem to like it as much.

I like it a bit more than Walking Dead and I loved the Walking Dead series.

What is this about? It's all over twitter? Is it another walking dead but without the zombies? I can't take any game like that, my emotions won't cope. :(

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

It's a similar game base on the universe from Fables http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fables_(comics)
