Seriously though, proper spoiler: I heard the T-1000 saves the day at the end. Why? Because he's sent back in time to kill John Connor... not Sarah.

That could actually be an interesting, well-written twist. Which is how I know you're making it up.

I'm kind of sad DAT SPOILER won't be a hilarious surprise but to be honest I never saw 4 and it was unlikely I was going to see this either.

After reading this topic, I came up with a better plot. It has a few wobbles, but probably less than the real thing, so I think I'm safe! Don't read if you think I may have been inspired by spoilers:

So there's a T1000 going after Sarah, Kyle and Arnie. Late on, you find out that the T1000 has actually been sent by the humans (John etc.), T2 style, to protect Sarah. From who? Arnie! (It would work as Sarah would always have been with Arnie, so you wouldn't know the T1000 was just after him). At some point her trusty old Terminator gets "activated" and starts his real mission - to kill her. Now we have the classic Arnie Terminator going after Sarah Connor dynamic.

Good, no? Or better than what they're actually doing?

It's better than what they are actually doing but it still has a major problem why doesn't Arnie just kill her when she is a kid? Why wait around for a T-1000 before "activating"?

In T1 the Terminator was sent back to kill her but didn't spend time raising her while calling himself "Pops".

Maybe your idea would work if Arnie was sent back as a protector and then was "activated" when a chip gets damaged during a fight or by another terminator flipping a switch?

Anyway, your idea is still far better than what they have actually come up with. :lol:

As they have put it on the poster, I assume that John Connor being a terminator is not a plot twist?
