I haven’t followed this story all day but just heard that they had the fertilizer factory right next to a residential block. :fp:

Apparently Texas doesn’t have any zoning laws at all. :fp:

“No dirty communist bastard is telling me where to put my factory, so strawberry floating what if the product I make can be used in bombs?”. :fp:

Texas is the land of rampant libertarian conservatism, so everything that the government can do, short of maintaining the military and police forces, is bad from that standpoint... including implementing basic regulations for businesses to be bound by.

Saw a chap being interviewed who lives nearby (close enough that his house got kerploded) and apparently the factory was there first. :dread:

"Where shall we build these schools, hospitals and care homes?"

"How about next to that big strawberry floating building full of explosives?"

"Great idea, I can't see any way that could possibly go wrong. Have a promotion."
