Nothing for me this week but I've pre-ordered the collector's edition of the spectacular Divinity: Original Sin II which is released the following week. I've been watching the Kickstarted updates that the developers have uploaded to YouTube as the game was being made which show that they have put a phenomenal amount of care into crafting what looks to be an incredible RPG.

I never got around to finishing the first game or put much time into its Enhanced Edition but I'm hoping to do justice to the sequel. If you're interested in Original Sin II, it takes place 1000 years after the first game so there's no obligation to play through the first one if you're interested in joining the launch hype :toot: It's coming out on PC only but console gamers can check out the fantastic Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition on PS4 and Xbox One. The sequel builds upon the engine of the Enhanced Edition of the first game so you'll have a wonderful time with it. Hopefully, by the time you're done with that, II will be on its way to consoles.

Oh yeah, I'll also pick up that 3DS shooting game that comes out next week. Metro something or other.

Nothing this week, I pre-ordered Baja Edge of Control HD as soon as it was announced months ago so am looking forward to that, it was apparently anunder-appreciated and punishingly gruelling gem that was quickly forgotten at the time but thanks to Nordic buying THQ's IP library this is getting a polished release on consoles as well as a PC release too, which is nice.

That edition looks to be very impressive, Dragon - a lovely set for fans of the game. I'm not familiar with the series but, from a brief look around, it seems to be pretty hardcore! Your recommendation of the first game for consoles arrives at a good time as it is currently on sale at £11.99 on the PS Store.

Nothing for me this week... probably. I'm resisting Destiny 2 as - despite the setting and style really appealing to me - I think that the gameplay will be too tough for me to deal with. I have also been looking at Lego Worlds for the Switch; it sounds great on paper but reviews of the game on other formats haven't been overly positive. Has any GRcadian played it?

Yeah, I think I've already bought my last 3DS game - Miitopia a few weeks back. I'm not that keen on getting Metroid... so that could be it. Monster Hunter Stories looks cool and that upcoming Layton game may be neat, but they're arriving at a time when there are plenty of choices out there.

Ah! So another GRcadian is gonna dip their toes into the water! Are you new to the game, Zaichik? I do wonder how it'll run on the Switch as it seems a bit clunky on other formats... but I'm hoping that the exploration side will make it worthwhile.

Hmmn... decisions, decisions. I'd decided against Destiny 2 on the basis that it looks brilliant but will probably be too frustrating for me... but I have Lego Worlds (Switch) and Rayman Legends (Switch) on pre-order. If I cancelled them then I could get Destiny 2.

Is Lego Worlds gonna be a bit ropey? Should I give Rayman a pass as I already have it on the U? Could I play Destiny 2 even though I'm appallingly bad at FPS games?

I don't know.

Cancel everything and wait for reviews. Don't double-dip on games you already have and especially don't preorder expensive new games for a genre you don't have an affinity for.

Buy them all. It's the only way to know if they're right for you.

I enjoyed Lego Worlds on PS4. Yes, it was buggy and, yes, the free building was fiddly but it seemed to have more purpose than Minecraft. Only problem was, I didn't have much free time to play it: I'm hoping the portability of the Switch version will help with that.
