I won't be picking up anything this week so my gaming attention will stay focused on Picross 3D Round 2 and Pokémon Sun :toot:

I *really* don't want to buy any new games for ages now... I don't think I'll be interested in any releases until Ghost Recon: Wildlands in March. Just hoping that the rest of the PSN "Deals of Christmas" are ropey :shifty: .

Now are we sure that Last Guardian won't get delayed again?

I'm waiting for No Man's Sky levels of disappointment mind.

I'm done for the year, Star Wars on EA Access will be my xmas game.

If Dead Rising 4 for some reason gets ridiculously good reviews im in, I doubt it though cos it looks a bit pants and I LOVED 3.

The Last Guardian and Dead Rising 4 will be the last retail games I buy for quite a while.

When does the Last Guardian review embargo lift? I had a pre-order for it since 2009, which Shopto eventually cancelled a year or so ago. Now I'm worried it's looking distinctly last gen.

In its best moments, The Last Guardian pulls off feats that could only be done on modern hardware; at its weakest, it's not just "like a PlayStation 2 game," but like a particularly rough, unpolished PlayStation 2 game, one that recalls the legacy of its forebears, but can't quite recreate it.

As I feared.

On the other hand...

Does The Last Guardian live up to its lineage? Does it do its forebears proud? It does so much more. It is bold enough to step away from their hints and their mysteries and explore its own kind of wonder.
