It's a big week this week. I've pre-ordered the collector's edition of the fantastic looking Divinity: Original Sin II but I know that I won't have time to play it until the following weekend. The same goes for Samus Returns but Divinity is my pick of the week

It's time for Pro Evolution Soccer . I pre-ordered on PS4 months ago. I find that it always takes a bit of time to adjust from the previous version to the new release and often there are one or two quirks to get around, too! I have taken a break (i.e. a few days ) from the 2017 version so that I am fresh for the new season.

Edit: Although I wish it was out on Tuesday, unfortunately we have to wait until Thursday for PES .

I have Ys VIII pre-ordered, at quite a decent price too. Worryingly it's gone to 'currently unavailable' at Amazon, hopefully they don't end up cancelling.

Contrary to my own sig i preordered Baja Edge of Control on console when it was announced, but now there's a pc version and i can't seem to cancel my paypal preorder from argos to get it on steam instead. Oh well, its an old-ass game so i expect it to look and run well at any rate, and if its a shite port i'll trade it in for steam credit with hopefully only a minor loss.

Didn't realise Divinity: Original Sin II was anywhere near being released.

I think that's what the £30 worth of steam vouchers I got for my birthday is going towards.

Technically its an hd remaster of an existing game and is therefore a known quantity. As its pretty niche and is coming out with little to no fanfare at the start of the q4 silly season i doubt it will be subject to the same "triple a" chicanery, rampant preorder trinkets, Twitch shills or so many special editions you need a spreadsheet.

Just Metroid for me.
