When she came on, I instantly said would, which didn't go down well as I was with a group of mates watching it, the majority of who were female, which led to me being called a pervert, but in my defence she's only three years younger and very hot.

And ITV insisted: “The brief mention of Bridgend was not meant to sensationalise but to highlight a positive story.”

An X Factor official added: “Alexandra gave a wide-ranging interview about issues that were important and personal to her. There was absolutely no pressure placed on her.”
