Nothing. I'm not broke, but I'm saving my money for FIFA in a couple of weeks and the ridiculous Oktoberfest. I'm interested in seeing what de Blob's like, though, and I'd buy Pure if it wasn't the silly season.

PDC World Championship Darts 2008 - darts on a console; is there anything more boring? It's most certainly not a sport suited to being played on a TV.

Oh dear, because of Play being late and because I have no willpower, this is what I'll be getting this week...

Yakuza 2
Crysis Warhead
Beautiful Katamari
Star Wars The Force Unleashed
Brothers in Arms Hells Highway
Wario Land Shake It
Civilization IV: Colonization
Wipeout HD

Total cost = £158.91

I know.

Little Big Planet
Fable 2
Dead Space
C&C Red Alert 3 (PC)
Far Cry 2
Bioshock (PS3)
Disaster Day of Crisis

...I think that pretty much spells disaster for at least one game there.

I wonder which one you mean?

That's strawberry floating ridiculous, actually. You've got maybe five games there which will have very high hopes (and Red Alert 3 will certainly be aiming to top the PC charts at the very least). Could LBP struggle? If Sony push it in a big way, then surely not. Dead Space? Horror usually does well, and it's EA. Bioshock? Could struggle, particularly as anyone who owns both a PS3 and a 360 will almost certainly not bother. Far Cry 2? Ubi plus ads plus FPS = sizeable hit. Fable 2? You know, that might just be a really undeserved flop. I really, really hope not, but it's being released in a pretty bad week. Are there enough Fable fans to make it a massive success? I'm not convinced.

As for Day of Crisis, the lack of competition on Wii should mean it doesn't completely bomb, but I'd be surprised if we see a big marketing effort from Nintendo for that one.

 Don't ever change.

(I mean that. It's nice to have another KOL fan on here who's as potty about games as you clearly are.)

Jesus. I got into debt once by buying games off Amazon. But that Vib-Ribbon looks nice on the shelf.

Heh.

Nothing for me this week. Might get Yakuza 2 though.

Not loaded. Do work.

The problem is that I obviously won't get what I should out of those games, wouldn't surprise me if a couple of them aren't still sitting completely unplayed on a shelf this time next year.

Having said that I'm not as bad for that as I used to be, and I definitely will complete 5 of those games over the next 3 or 4 weeks.

In which case your dedication to our hobby is fantastic.

Very good point, I'm struggling to see how I'll cope with the bunchI boight recently plus a few more. Love it but it's more than I can cope with. Some will get picked up next summer no doubt.

I very much doubt Warhead, TFU and Hells Highway will take much more than 20 hours to complete in total.

On the other hand I'll probably spend at least that long just playing Colonization over the weekend.

I would've got Wario Land but I can't justify getting it as well as 2 other games. So I'll likely forget all about it. :(

I might give Wipeout a look, even though I was never a big fan of the old ones.
