You use to be able to watch the acts with out paying. They use to just have a chain link fence at the top end of the gig so you had a direct line of site on the main stage. These days it's all wood I believe. You can still hear the acts pretty well from outside though.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

:dread: I know

I would never spend that sort of money for one show, but my Mrs absolutely loves Tom petty but has never seen him, so I bought tickets last year as a combined Christmas and early birthday present. Then when I went to buy them I just though strawberry float it I'll buy the best ones. Hideously expensive but for the experience it was worth it.

I'd do the same again :shifty: It'd have to be for someone pretty special though, rolling stones or something.

You could even pay MORE on top of the diamond package  There was the 'ultimate bar experience' which was another 250 each ON TOP of the 250 you've already spent :dread: :dread: :dread: All it was was a free bar in a shitty penned off bit which hilariously was behind the massive covered grandstand so you couldn't even watch anything from there :fp:

Anyway it was well worth it for that one off experience. A couple of legends, one of whom may not be around much longer if 2017 is a banana split. He was proper shakey and slow at points and he's not really that old :dread:

I wouldn't pay 550 to see anyone. That's ludicrous.

And yet you'd spend £600 to hear them.
