Die Hard Trilogy  Loved that game, especially 2 & 3.

Yeap, that brings back all the memories of being a Nintendo-only gamer in 1996!

The saturn import of Darkstalkers Revenge was the way to go back then. Kind of like how importing Blazblue games is the way to go now.

I was playing Die Hard 1 and 2 on the Ps1 2 days ago. Suppose I will have to double dip now.
Still great, was actually playing my disc using epsxe. It up renders beautifully.

Micromachines V3 was also brilliant to. Lots of 4 player fun when I got it a couple of years in the future (1998, keep up) as an 18th birthday present. Might have to require.

I wonder if you could get Die Hard 2 working with the Wiimote.

Did any of these games come out in September 96?

No idea I'm afraid, but it's great with a mouse if you have never tried that.

Ahah fantastic. I have fond memories of Simpsons Cartoon Studio, likely super limited by today's standards but my brothers and I got a lot of mileage out of it.

Was Daggerfall any good? Was Elder Scrolls even popular back then?

As for the others, I did own both Die Hard Trilogy and Alien Trikogy, though not at launch.

The only one of those games I owned was Micro Machines V3, bought a few years after release.

I have Micro Machines V3 on PS1, it has a lovely menu but I'm not sure I dig the camera angles plus those bloody awful character animations and voices

One nice thing about playing the disk on backwards compatible ps3 is you don't need multitap, so it should work fine with 4 wireless dualshocks.

I booted up the SNES (or maybe it was MD) version in an emulator for a moment as a random test of 2 controllers and it was much more the micro machines I remember. It's all about anticipating the tracks. The tanks were also great.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

Would love a new Die Hard game.

Was the first light-gun game I ever played at home. I don't know anybody who actually finished any of the 3 films though - it was phenomenally tough.

I completed Die Hard 2 with the controller.
