One of the best comedy shows i've been to. 2 1/2 hours later and completely laughed out they played a mini gig with such numbers as "Nanagedon" and "I did a gooseberry fool on your mum"

strawberry floating quailty. They do another tour definitely getting tickets

I thought this tour was pretty crap, and i'm a big fan. The show that they have the dvd out for is a million times better.

Still poorly. Potentially two hospital appointments next week and hopefully I'll finally find out exactly what's up with me. While it'll be nice to know what it is and whether I can do anything about it, I'm also incredibly nervous. Just hoping it's not really serious. :(

You wouldn't go to the hospital if it was just a bug, jig.

Depends on the symptoms, I almost went to the doctors last week when I had accute food poisoning, but I rode it out like a real man!

Well the only thing you can do when you have food poisoning or any shitting/vomitting bug is ride it out and drink some water. I never go to the doctors when I'm ill. I'll be sorry when I do get something bad though and I try to ride it out.

No, I have something called a hiatus hernia, but I've got a feeling it's more than that, or it's a particularly bad one, because it's giving me constant pain or discomfort. At the moment I'm hardly eating anything because everything feels like it's getting stuck in my chest. I'm on really pretty strong painkillers and I'm still feeling uncomfortable with it.

The thing is, I like to think I know my body pretty well. When I first got this I knew it was more than just stress, but it took about five trips to the doctor, one to A+E, a private consultation and finally an endoscopy before it was diagnosed as a hiatus hernia. And it's been months since I got it and over the last couple of weeks it's got noticeably worse, so I know it's not just me worrying unnecessarily - it may be something I can minimise with diet and lifestyle changes (though I've adjusted my diet significantly over the last week or so) but it's different to how it was a couple of months back. It's possible I've developed a painful ulcer around that area, or it's just a particularly bad hernia, and there are other things it could possibly be which I don't really want to think about too much at this stage. But I could well need surgery of some kind, especially if it continues like this.

I'm seeing the specialist on Wednesday, so hopefully he can give me a few clues as to what it could be. Either way I'm not likely to get it properly looked at this side of Christmas. I just wish someone would give me a strawberry floating x-ray or whatever it is I need to get my chest area checked out. I don't see why that has to be so difficult and/or time-consuming. I'm sure I'm making things worse by worrying, but the longer I go without knowing what it is or what can be done about it the worse things are. It's been a right bloody rigmarole to even get this far - I've had to pester and mither frequently to get anyone to take me seriously. :(
