Update time, the vet just called, she said she is now 98% sure he has mulitple melanoma or something, apparently its quite strawberry floating bad, even with a slightly healthy dog, its almost uncurable, she just recommended that we do the best thing for him, and put him out of his misery. now i just need to wait for my dad to come home and agree, otherwise we are waiting for him to die in his sleep, and that wnt be strawberry floating pleasent.

I gots to go and dig another hole I think, becuase he is like 30kg its gonna be a big hole!

Sorry to hear it, jigger.

The hole for mine will have to be pretty large too, I think she weighs around 7 stone so 40 kgs.

Oh no. Sorry to hear that. We had our dog put down on my Birthday a few years ago. She had cancer too.

My Dog died on the same day as Denster's cat.

The vets were great though, but my Dog was super insured. He had like £1000 worth of tests/treatment before it was realised that there was nothing we could do, and he had to be put down.

Cheers guys for the kind words, it all falls down to my dad now, as its his dog so his say. I think he is still in shock over this which is fair enough as like a few weeks ago he seemed fine.

That's rubbish Jay, sorry to hear about it. I hate to imagine what it would be like without my Dog, she only has a couple of years left in her unfortunately, Springers are meant to live to about 12-13 and she hit 10 this year :(

I'm feeling alright today, only a week to go until Christmas holidays, weekend's going to be gooseberry fool but never mind, I have Johnny Truant Sunday evening. The friendship between me and one of my best friends has pretty much broke down now, we were always arguing since September and he became more argumentative than anyone needs to be, bit odd he just went 3 months being moody rather than say what he felt. He now hangs around with the biggest bunch of knobheads I've ever met, seriously, they're all rude, selfish, obnoxious dicks. Ah well, gooseberry fool happens, I'll live.

Sounds like a cursed dog to me?

I really feel bad now, for the past 2 hours he has been sitting there wimpering softly, he is not a dog that usually cries, but this is really getting to me now. I really want to end his misery, as he deserves so much more than this, but I can't. It's really breaking my heart now to see the poor guy in so much pain. I touched his collar just now and he was hysterical with the cries.

I could deal with this better if we did the right thing and ended this on monday, and not waited becuase my dad is under some kind of illusion that he will get better.

Banterage with Gandalf aside.

That's a truely horrible situation you have yourself in there, jigger. Been through it several times with my boxer dogs over the years and it's agony. :( Hope it sorts itself out either way m'man.

I had a car smash yesterday on the M6 during rush hour. :(

strawberry float me Ive never been so scared in my life, if there had been anything behind me at the time I would have been a gonna, instead I smashed into the central reservation in an attmept to avoid this stupid bint in front of me slamming her brakes on in the strawberry floating fast lane.

I spent the rest of the day shaking, generally feeling sick, and I had to go to work.

Really happy (not that Glowy nearly died! Glad you're alright!)

Passed another higher level pensions exam 8-)

2 more and I'm one of like...1000 people in the country qualified for that level work.

(How scary is that  )

Maybe the person behind you was driving at a safe distance. No offence, but the stupidity of the person in front shouldn't be an issue if you're driving at a safe distance behind them.

There wasnt anyone behind me, as for the one in front, she was doing 70 in the overtaking lane, as was I, and there wasnt anyone in front of her that could cause danger and she broke and then broke again, even if you are at a safe distance you cant stop that quick driving at 70mph regardless of your difference.

Not really true....unless she comes to a full stop instantly the whole point of safe distance is that it allows "reaction" time, allowing you both to break sharply "together" and as such you shouldn't hit each other.

Yes you can if you are at a safe distance. The whole point in safe distances are so that unless the car in front manages to defy physics and stop dead (or hit something) you have plenty of time to react.

Regardless of how everyone really drives, you shouldn't be doing over 70 in any lane anyway ;)

"Only a fool breaks the two second rule"

It snowed very heavily last night, but it was a clear sunny morning making the journey to work very picturesque. I had a nice breakfast when I got to work and it's Friday.

I feel quite chipper.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.
