A case? strawberry float that run it laid out on the desk. Or modify a cereal packet.

Please stop taking pot-shots at peoples' personal lives that have nothing to do with the topic at hand.

DaveDS sourced these specs while I was locking the thread, far be it from me to sabotage his hard work.

DaveDS wrote:http://orders.ebuyer.com/customer/shopping/index.html?action=c2hvd2NhcnQ%3D

AMD A4 APU
2GB DDR3 ram
300w PSU
Motherboard
Case

Total = £93.85 delivered.

Mouse/keyboard £9.99 delivered

80GB HDD £12.99 delivered

Final price = £116.83 delivered, so you have £23.16 as a gesture towards "buying" a windows 7 key.

This thread is staying locked so assuming these specs meet the challenge, I expect DaveDS and Rik will resolve this via PM.

Congratulations Dave. A fitting way to end the thread. Everyone loves a happy ending.

I also had a go. It's not really that hard; this took me about 15 minutes. Congrats to Dave though as his spec list beats mine for cheapness.

APU — £38 — AMD A4-5300
MBD — £41 — MSI A55M-E33
RAM — £05 — EB Extra Value 1 GB
HDD — £22 — WD AV-GP 160 GB
PSU — £13 — ACE 400 W
WIN — £17 — Windows XP Professional (OEM)
___
Total: £136

(EDIT: Actually this one is more like £141 if you want to actually meet the Crysis 3 minimum spec of 2 gigs of RAM. I think Dave's is more closely in line with the minimum spec provided. Good effort Dave!)
