That was the launch price for the 20gb system, the Arcade version was £219.99

I don't even think everyone should get along.

I just wish people would stop responding to inane gooseberry fool with more gooseberry fool. It just piles so much shitty gooseberry fool on the gooseberry fool pile that I can't even gooseberry fool without shitting all over some shitting gooseberry fool.

The behaviour today has been embarrassing. Not in equal measure (Rik  ), but there's no high ground for anyone in this mess.

Which had no hard drive and so required a memory card, which probably was another £20 on top, and rapidly became unusable as the updates and DLC rolled in.

Didn't the arcade version come without a hard drive or a memory card though? I'm probably wrong and I don't care enough to check if that was the case.

Lets see if what we build can do that.

Your changing the goalposts now  We're now going back to launch prices instead of todays price, the arcade 360 could play Crysis 3 though out of the box, you could use your one months free Gold to save onto Cloud saves :slol:

I'm more interesting in finding out the price of the cheapest PC that can play Pong.

Surely there's a high ground for those with facts against those trolling?

Now you're really strawberry floating stretching.

(More to the point, can the Arcade update to the latest version of the dashboard? I don't think so, I think that some hard drive space would be required.)

(Plus the saves would require an infinitely long Gold subscription, and suddenly Falsey's build becomes cheaper)

It's a simple challenge, nothing bad about it. It can either be done or it can't. If it can then it would be worth the investment to me.

So based on that eBay link that Delusi posted, it would be cheaper to to kit yourself out with a PC to play Crysis 3 multiplayer for more than a month by about £25 compared to getting it on 360? That's quite ridiculous how good the value is there.

I won't guarantee it'll run *well* but it'll probably run better than whatever RRoD'd piece of junk Rik has lined up for similar money.

(And yes, you can get PCs for less than a year of Gold. Not terribly good ones, but PCs nonetheless)

Didn't we have this exact thread a few years back, and by the same people? Or can I now dream the future?

It also lacked a hdmi port.

I think it might be possible at that price by taking a midrange AMD APU, and pairing it with the cheapest possible ram, motherboard, and case/PSU, keyboard/mouse combo's you could find. Why would anyone want to do that though?
