That's right, it's the First Annual Montgomery Burns Award For Outstanding Achievement In The Field Of Excellence!

By which I mean...

The 1st Annual GRcade Awards!
Thank you to Cal for the awesome banner design!

Last week, I asked you to nominate those forumites, threads and events that you felt need recognition. Well, you responded in droves and I can now reveal the offical nominations for the awards! Some categories were closely fought, whereas others had obvious leaders from the start - no prizes for guessing which!

Strictly in alphabetical order, the nominations are...

So, those are the main categories. There is also a Super Special Awesome Bonus Award for The Best Quotation, which has just three nominations. Each nomination is accompanied by a short comment from the forumite responsible, hopefully putting it into some kind of context.

So, there we have it! All nominees should be incredibly proud that they have reached this point in the proceedings, but it doesn't end there! I'll be needing your votes for who wins the glittering prizes!

Simply copy and paste the form below and put your votes in the correct boxes, then PM me. Names in the first box earn 3 points, names in the second earn 2 and names in the third box earn 1. So, for example, if you voted the following in the Most Entertaining award...

...Forumite A would be awarded the most points (3), while Forumite X and Forumite 8hrs would earn 2 and 1 points respectively. The forumite with the most points when voting closes is the winner! For the Super Special Awesome Bonus Award for The Best Quotation, you can only vote for one quotation.

Voting will be open FOR THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE - due to changing plans and whatnot I don't know when I'll have time to count the votes, but rest assured that I will and that I will give adequate notice before voting closes.

MCN wins the Just Because You Appreciate It, That Doesn't Make It Okay Award for nominating himself for Biggest Spammer.
