Yeah the gameplay is definately the weak link, and is why I put it down after a few hours every time I go back to play.

I pretty much only use gameplay mods, things like Morrowloot that make it harder and more interesting to play, but the combat remains the same no matter what trash you paste on top.

Its a catch 22 for me. I dont think the base game is great, but most mods deviate too far from the base game that they seem weird and out of place, no matter how well made they may be individually.

Its the same reason I dont use these extra armours and weapons and stuff, because they dont fit in. My autism is strong.

As for the game itself I feel modding has breathed new life into Skyrim. It still has it's faults, but now the experience feels more personal ergo more enjoyable. The combat though, (even with improved animation and combat mods in tow), is still as clumsy as a piss head trying to put mayonnaise via a squeesy bottle bigger than his head on some chips at 3am in the morning.

Cheers. I have the racemenu mod and SKSE, so alls good on that front. I'm already deep into wonderland. Skyrim has become more of a 'project' than a game.

I installed verdant grass today, but as good as it looks I much prefer Lush Grass & Trees with Floral Overhaul.

It's never strawberry floating ending.

Love it though. I've only had the rig for about 2 months, but I've gotten so much out of it. Poor old PS4 barely gets a look in.

I have Better Dymanic Snow, but the other I'll check out. Like yourself though, it's getting ridiculous. Having said that I had a friend round who has only ever played the Xbox 360 vanilla Skyrim and he was suitably blown away by 'my' Skyrim.

"Wait, what! The strawberry floating rain moves realistically?....Oh my god!, A strawberry floating full on blizzard!...That lighting!...Holy gooseberry fool, you've got completely different music!.. the dragons are rock hard!"

...that went on for a bit.

Oh god, one point I had over a hundred mods installed I was surprised it still worked. Might have to download Skyrim again and start afresh (and my save file won't work without the specific mods either, over 60 hours of screenshot taking gone down the shitter )
