I played it through from start to finish, twice, in one sitting. I thought it was great.

The Darkness II. Very fun game so far, despite being a shite console port.
Early into the game you find these two guys. Stick around and listen to their dialogue. It's strawberry floating hilarious!

Just a standard night time scene.

How are you finding the full game? ie story etc

It's FAR more linear than the last game, but so far the story seems good. The dialogue is excellent as is some of the characters. I'm only a couple of hours into it mind, but the carnage is just as fun as it was in the demo. It is a bit of a lazy console port though.

Ord - Re: first picture, are you be able to hear conversions like that via subtitles or is it audio-only?

Oh I'm not sure. I didn't have audio subtitles enabled. I'll check later after dinner.

Wasn't the first game very linear anyway?

The only choices I seem to remember were "Go in the front door or sneak in the side door."

Well there isn't really a hub in this game. I haven't played the original since it was released in the summer of 2007, but I seem to remember trekking through various subway stations and having dialogues with various NPC's and getting quests/missions from them as well as having a map. There seems to be none of that here. No map needed. You talk to some NPC's then kill some bad guys in a linear level, cue cut scene. Rince repeat.
