So does this new version of ICE work with fully updated Steam versions, then, or is there still some rollback required?

As a counterpoint, I am on a fully patched steam version and running it fine. I did apply the red sky fix just to be safe which gets rid of the alternative sky texture, but aside from that, all rosy.

Yeah, it's just not playing ball. I launch the game, it gives me the loading screen. I get the little ping and then it just drops me back to the desktop. :(

Jesus..

Just think; dynamic lighting, dof, and a bit more anisotropic filtering and it wouldnt look out of place in a current gen lineup.

Surely that just proves how little graphics in gaming have changed over the past 10 years?

No. It proves how ahead of the curve they were with their design. And dynamic lighting is not a trivial thing.

Is that the vanilla MP2, or are you using mods to make it look that good? I've been meaning to go back to Max Payne after enjoying the Alan Wake games, and they're only a tenner on Steam... How often do sales roll around? Know I missed out on the Jedi Knight collection for 4 quid a few weeks back :fp:

How do you set up the options to get Doom 3 looking so amazing?

I have the sikkmod but mine looks nothing like that. :(
